Ceres Park – Aarhus GF arena – stadium poster

At the end of Stadion Allé in the Marselisborg-area of Aarhus lies Ceres Park. This iconic stadium and sports complex is the sacred home of the city’s pride AGF. The ground was originally known as Aarhus Idrætspark and was built from 1916-1918 and inaugurated in 1920. Seven years later, the first official football match was played here, when AGF faced Aarhus 1900 on May 27 1927. From the 1930s and onwards, the stadium was slowly rebuilt and shaped towards its current appearance. Ceres Park has laid grass to many triumphs and tragedies of AGF’s long history, and the ground will always be a second home to all those who love “De hviie”.
