Stadion Feijenoord, or “De Kuip”, is the home of Feyenoord Rotterdam, and it is one of the most iconic stadiums in world football. Throughout its history, De Kuip has been a stronghold for both “De club aan de Maas” and the Dutch national team, who have played over 100 games here. Among Feyenoord’s legion of fans, the stadium is commonly known as “The football temple”, and the ground has laid grass to countless legendary matches in the past. The 2002 UEFA Cup final is perhaps the most memorable of them all. Here Feyenoord defeated Borussia Dortmund 5-2 and became the first and only team to win a European final on home soil.
