The Netherlands team that travelled to Germany in 1988 was packed with talent.
They had the inventor of the “Total Football” style and legendary manager, Rinus Michels on the sideline. On the pitch, they were led by legendary players like Ronald Koeman and “The Three Tulips” – Rijkaard, Van Basten and Gullit.
This iconic Dutch side went to the Euros that year bound for glory.
Their highlight of the tournament came in the semifinal against Germany.
The “Oranje” won the game 2-1 and afterwards they went on to win the final.
