By Dutzendteich, on the outskirts of Nuremberg lies Max-Morlock-Stadion. This is the home of the city’s pride 1. FC Nürnberg, one of the oldest and most decorated clubs in German football. Max-Morlock-Stadion is itself a testament to the glorious past of “Der Club”. The stadium is named after the club’s greatest-ever player Max Morlock, who is also honoured with a fan-funded statue outside the ground. Many of the stadium blocks also commemorate other of the club’s legendary figures. Max-Morlock-Stadion will always be a second home to all who love “Der Club”.
