The 2006/2007 season was one to remember for all fans of VfB Stuttgart. Here the Scwabians competed for their first Bundesliga title in 15 years.

It was down to the wire for “die Roten” when they faced Energie Cottbus at home in the last game of the season. Stuttgart had to win in order to secure the title.
However, it was the visitors who scored the opening goal just short of the 20-minute mark. Suddenly Stuttgart was heading towards a heartbreaking ending to the season. 
But Armin Veh’s squad did not fluster. First Hitzlsperger equalised before Sami Khedira would score the winner that crowned Stuttgart as champions of Germany.
